Débruit - Percute

This is from the album Outside The Line (2015) by the English artist Xavier Thomas who goes by the name Débruit. More about him here. A new album, entitled Débruit & Istanbul, is about to come out in a couple of weeks.

Unfortunately, I can't embed the track here. But you can listen here.

Nice find!

Have you had a chance to listen to the new Radiohead album - "A Moon Shaped Pool"?

Hey, yes, I have listened to it quite a few times. I liked it in general. It has a melancholy vibe -- I don't think it reaches the halcyon levels of "In Rainbows" (their last unqualified classic) but it is quite good. I think the word I would use to describe it is "pastoral." It reminds me a bit of being in the English countryside in some imagined past. Nice. I'll try to post something in more detail soon.

Yes, it is quite melancholy.
I'll have to go back and listen to their older work. Currently listening to Xscape by Michael Jackson. Have you had a listen yet?

I'm ashamed to say that I haven't heard Xscape yet but I know I should. Was a big fan of Michael Jackson -- in fact, I still listen to his greatest hits (The Essential Michael Jackson quite a lot). What do you think?

You know I was expecting to be a let down as most posthumous releases tend to be. The first one was bad as it is. But this? Boy I was wrong. Its smooth, its Mystical, Its Jackson. I quite like it. It is not aggressively overworked or overproduced at all. That takes a back seat to the vocals. Although I can't quite say how it compares the rest of his work - haven't listened to them in quite a while. I'm however perplexed as to why these songs didn't make it to the various albums in the 1990s that they were supposedly cut from. Have a listen. I'd love to hear what you think.

P.S I want to go over the deluxe edition - it has some of the original versions of the songs.

Thanks for that. I think both 'Thriller' and 'Off the Wall" have deluxe editions now -- definitely worth spending money on. Classics.

I should take a look. Thanks
