I am indeed back. Trying to figure out what to post about. Maybe something on Pink Floyd or the new album by The xx? The recent Dead Can Dance show I saw? I don't know. I have dozens of half-finished posts. I could make this a blog of half-finished posts. Anyway, thx for the interest!
well, get cracking then? It's nice to hear about obscure bands, bands from a before my time etc. With Beiber fever and everyone on the Disney channel getting a record deal its hard to find good music these days...
Yes, do know of Sade.... Have not heard "Soldier of Love." Heard it's good though. Can you confirm?
Justin Bieber: By my calculation he's 18. Which means that technically speaking she could be Madonna's grandchild.
Dylan: I was totally freaked by reading a new Dylan interview in some magazine. It's hard to explain but I think he's gone crazy. In a funny kind of way. Either way, I'll post of review of "Tempest" soon.
I haven't had a chance to listen to the whole album. The title track, Soldier of Love was quite nice tough. A nice ballad, it breaks away from her more usual work and is more in your face, confrontational. Its loud and imposing with the drums while she sings over it. Listening to it over and over again it almost sounds like a war song. I wasnt too crazy about the video though. Could have been better made.
