They also sold a lot of records. But I don't think they got any cred from music writers or critics. But I admire their commitment to their craft. Who else takes ten years (!) to make a single album? They think they're Stanley Kubrick but I think they are more like Michael Bay.

As far as A Perfect Circle, I think APC actually got better as Tool got worse (their last album, 10,000 Days was really excruciatingly bad) whereas APC began to explore new areas a bit. But APC was never better than Tool, overall. Tool's early work far exceeds anything APC ever put out.

And yes, Maynard's solo career with Puscifer has got NO CRED at all. And it should! That's some good shit. Much better than 10,000 Days, for sure.spacemanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09556503201815246287noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26890460.post-90538860337755142432017-05-19T14:42:52.815-04:002017-05-19T14:42:52.815-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Effhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04872206286774519910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26890460.post-54559225090966114332017-05-19T14:41:53.097-04:002017-05-19T14:41:53.097-04:00Tool gets lots of cred. They're overrated, act...Tool gets lots of cred. They're overrated, actually. If you want to talk about someone who doesn't get enough cred, look at Maynard's solo career or Perfect Circle.Effhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04872206286774519910noreply@blogger.com
